Flow Control Solutons Built to Last

Valves are small components with a big job. They start and stop flow, regulate pressure, prevent backflow and isolate sections of a system for safe maintenance. A poor valve choice can lead to leaks, pressure loss, product contamination or unplanned shutdowns, while the right one delivers tight sealing and reliable performance for years.

Stuffind supplies a wide range of valves in different types, materials, sizes and pressure ratings. Whether you need a replacement for an existing line or valves for a new project, we help you choose a valve suited to your fluid, pressure, temperature and installation.

Our Valve Range

Ball Valves

Quarter-turn valves with a quick on/off action and tight sealing. Compact, durable and widely used for water, oil, gas, fuel and chemical lines.

Gate Valves

Designed for full, straight-through flow with minimal pressure drop. Best suited to fully open or fully closed isolation duty in water, oil and general pipelines.

Globe Valves

Offer precise flow regulation and throttling. Commonly used where flow control is needed, such as in steam, cooling water and process lines.

Check Valves

Allow flow in one direction only and prevent backflow that can damage pumps and equipment. Available as swing, lift, dual-plate and spring-loaded types.

Butterfly Valves

Lightweight, compact and economical for larger pipe sizes. Common in water supply, HVAC, wastewater and industrial processing.

Foot Valves & Strainers

Foot valves keep pumps primed, and strainers protect valves, pumps and meters from debris. Useful in pumping and fuel transfer systems.

Pressure Relief & Safety Valves

Protect systems from overpressure by releasing excess pressure safely. Essential for boilers, compressed air, steam and process systems.

Control Valves

Pneumatic and electric actuated valves for automated flow and pressure control in process industries.

Needle Valves

Provide very fine flow adjustment for instrumentation, sampling lines and small-bore applications.

Fuel & Emergency Shut-Off Valves

Valves designed for fuel handling, including petrol station and depot applications. Used to isolate flow and enhance site safety. See our Retail and Non-Retail Fuel Solutions.

Materials & Connections

Body materials: Cast iron, ductile iron, carbon steel, stainless steel, brass, bronze and PVC/plastic, selected for the fluid and environment.

End connections: Threaded, flanged, welded, wafer and lug types to match your pipework.

Operation: Manual (handle or gear), pneumatic, electric and hydraulic actuation.

  • Fuel stations & depots: Dispensing, transfer and tank systems
  • Chemical processing: Handling corrosive and aggressive media
  • HVAC & building services: Heating, cooling and chilled water
  • Power & energy: Steam, boiler feed and cooling systems
  • Food & beverage: Hygienic and process fluid control
  • Manufacturing & industry: Compressed air, utilities and process lines

How to Choose the Right Valve

Function. Decide whether you need on/off isolation, flow regulation, backflow prevention or pressure protection.

Fluid type. Water, oil, fuel, gas, steam and chemicals each need compatible bodies, seats and seals.

Pressure and temperature. Choose a valve rated above your maximum operating pressure and temperature.

Size and connection. Match the valve size and end connection to your pipework.

Material. Select materials that resist corrosion, erosion and chemical attack for your fluid.

Operation. Choose manual or actuated operation based on how often and how remotely the valve must be operated.

Standards & certification. Confirm the valve meets the relevant standards, such as API, ANSI, DIN, BS or ISO, as well as any safety approvals for your sector.

Not sure which valve fits? Send us your fluid, size, pressure and temperature, and we will recommend suitable options.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the difference between a ball valve and a gate valve?
A ball valve uses a rotating ball and operates with a quarter-turn, giving fast shut-off and tight sealing. A gate valve uses a rising or non-rising gate and takes several turns to operate, which suits full open or closed isolation with low pressure drop.

Which valve is best for flow regulation?
Globe valves and control valves are best for throttling and regulating flow. Ball and gate valves are designed mainly for on/off use, and partial opening can wear them out faster.

When do I need a check valve?
Use a check valve wherever backflow could damage equipment or contaminate a system, typically on pump discharge lines and in pipelines with changing flow direction.

What valve material should I choose?
Brass and bronze suit water and general use, carbon steel suits oil and high pressure, stainless steel suits corrosive and hygienic applications, and plastic suits chemical and low-pressure lines. Tell us your fluid and we will advise.

Can you supply actuated valves?
Yes. We can supply valves with electric or pneumatic actuators for automated and remote control. Share your requirements and we will recommend suitable options.

What information do you need to quote?
Valve type, size, pressure rating, temperature, fluid, end connection, material and quantity. Even partial details are enough to start.
